Strikes Impacting Rail, Air, and Hospitality

France

In France, the SNCF rail union Sud Rail has announced strike notices for weekends from April 17 to June 2, potentially halting services by train controllers. Additional one-day and multi-day strikes are planned by train drivers and TGV controllers. While negotiations are ongoing, travelers are advised to check for last-minute cancellations

Spain

In Spain's Canary Islands, approximately 80,000 hotel and hospitality workers are on strike from April 17–18, likely affecting Easter holiday plans.

United Kingdom

The United Kingdom faces its own challenges, with over 100 Gatwick Airport staff, including baggage handlers and dispatchers employed by Red Handling, striking from April 18–22 over pension issues. This action could lead to significant delays.
